Let's see how long this is up before the administrators take it down.
This is a choral piece that I've been working on. I'm thinking that it's not finished, completely, but I'm also thinking that it's going to be part of a larger whole. It has that kind of a feel to it.
I've included a pdf file of the music, as well as a midi file. If this ever gets performed, I'll be very surprised. It'd be nice, but whatever. Anyway, this is one of the first actual long works that I've completed, and would appreciate ANY input. I'll warn you all right now: it's fairly atonal, and so some may dislike what they hear. I'm happy with how it's turned out, so far, though, and am currently working out some ideas for the other movement(s). So, enjoy.
This is the most unique version of Kyrie Eleison that I've ever come across. Although I'm only truly aquainted with three or four versions. When I saw that the title Kyrie I was expecting much the same of what I'm aquainted with, but like I said, this one is unique. And I don't mean that in a bad way. I'm a horrible writer, a decent singer, but I'd like to think that I have an ear for music.
I think that overall the song has kind of an eerie feeling... which is different turn on the lyrics 'Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy.' I'm not sure what you recorded the music too, kind of an organ sound. Anyway, I think that that might attribute to some of that for myself. Whenever I hear an organ, or if it's not an organ than a sound similar to that of an organ, I always get a creepy feeling. Anyhow, I still like the overall composition of the piece. I wish that I could hear it performed by a large choir, because I think that it would sound awesome. (And I'm pleased to hear a different version of Kyrie!) Okay, I think that I've jabbered enough of my nonsense. Oh, I almost forgot! It's nice to see that someone else in Montana has a sense of art! We're not all hicks!

If "all the world's a stage" where's my script?
The music is just a MIDI file, courtesy of Microsoft and Coda Software (the maker of Finale). I would love to see this performed, period, though I definitely have some editing (in terms of actual music writing) to do. That, and I'm working on another part (this is probably going to be a larger-scale piece). So, here's hoping.
Also, I won't be in Montana, much longer. I'm Boston-bound.
